Oct 31 Update

So our car broke down and we couldn’t get to our village for over 9 days! What a last minute adventure..oh Joy…After waiting for over a week for the car to get fixed we finally took off to our village. I was excited to go back because living out of a small suitcase with only a few changes of clothes was no fun. It was a 5 hour road trip and I was looking forward to sleeping in my bed that night. After three hours of driving our car broke down AGAIN in the middle of nowhere. “Nobody PANIC” I said trying to sound brave while my knees were shaking fearing that we will spend the night out here. Gotte tried to get someone to come out and help us, but had no luck. It was getting dark and our car was surrounded my some weird drunk men. Finally, exactly 4 hours later, a car came and tied a rope to our car and pushed us all the way to the nearest village. We were bummed to hear that something was wrong with the car and that we will spend the night there and MAYBE just maybe we will go back home the next day. Taking our mini suitcase out Alvena managed to cheer us up by saying “Hey guys look at the bright side..At least this place has showers!” So cool how we can cheer ourselves up even in the hardest and toughest situations. As we said our prayers and tucked our nets tight I realized that nothing is happening without Gods control and we are surrounded by a gazillion angels and everything will be O.KJ We spent 2 nights in that village and finally journeyed off home. The weather is so hot here that I was out in the sun for 20 minutes and got the worst sunburn ever, so it was hard driving back with no AC and a dust storm blowing in your face. Coming back to the village made us realize how much we will miss this place and how sad it’ll be to say good-bye to all the kids.

We had the chance to be with Gotte and Ulla for 2 months and that gave us plenty of time to really get to know them and learn a lot about their life and calling. It amazes me how young they were when they decided to commit their lives to missions work in Africa. Their first child was a few months old when they moved out here and started their ministry. It wasn’t that easy to work amongst the African people and they were persecuted a lot for their faith. Living in the car for years with small children and preaching the Gospel to the people in the bush is something that only a true follower of God can do. They have so much love and compassion for this nation. We had a chance to see some of the churches and schools they built. They have done so much and have no plans of retiring anytime soon. Ulla is teaching in the bible college that has about 100 students. Most of these students don’t have money to pay for school fees and boarding and it’s up to Gotte and Ulla to find the finances to support them. They also pay for a lot of children that attend the public schools. Weekly Gotte goes out to the deep bush and brings corn and necessities to the tribes and preaches the Gospel. It brings them great joy to do what they do and that’s because it’s their calling from God and God is standing behind their ministry. I am so happy to say that “Church of Truth” is taking a huge part in supporting the ministry in Africa. So THANKFUL for Roman and Sophia, Founders of Help Africa ministries, for calling us and encouraging us while our stay here.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

FACT: $1 can buy a pair of flip flips for a child, around $50 can support a bible school student for the year, $20 can buy a huge bag of corn and feed a family for about a month. Every dollar counts, so I encourage you to make a decision to SAVE/CHANGE someone’s life and donate today! Also, we are fundraising for Gotte’s NEW CAR, so please make a donation today. Go to www.hafrica.net They are in need of monthly givers. If you know that a few bucks can change a child’s life then why not save her? WHY NOT make a difference? May God bless each and every one of you! We love you all so much and we’re excited to see all of you at church on Sunday! THANK YOU for taking part and supporting the ministry with your prayers and finances. This trip changed my life and I’m so excited to share more testimonies and revelations with all of you. We are flying in on November 4th at 1:30pm, so please keep us in your prayers so we won’t break down in the middle of the ocean…would be fun to chill at a deserted Island, but I’m missing my mama too much to stay away much longer!

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothes me…I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:35-40)

GOD BLESS YOU!

Nadia
